We offer opportunities for practical volunteering in the beautiful Kent Countryside. Every Thursday our dedicated team of volunteers undertake a huge variety of tasks, from hedge-laying to pond restoration, apple picking to school wildlife garden creation. We have a fantastic series of professional workshops taking place during November and December aimed at those seeking to gain a better understanding of natural river processes and restoration, those studying environmental sciences as well as land managers and land owners.
Understanding Natural River Processes

Learn about hydromorphology and the artificial changes we've made to rivers and water flow. Gain an understanding of the solutions for improving river health with case study examples.
Water Quality - Impacts and Solutions

Understand pollution; the types, sources, differences and impacts and gain an understanding of the solutions for improving river health.
Understanding and Restoring

Understand the different river and riparian habitats; the types of wildlife which rely on these habitats and how we can enhance the biodiversity of our local rivers.
Invasive Non-Native Species

Learn all about Invasive Non-native Species in the UK, the GB strategy for tackling INNS, the issues they cause, co-operative working to address INNS and the importance of biosecurity in stopping the spread.
