Spending time in the natural environment has a beneficial effect on health and wellbeing but there are currently limited structured links between countryside and green space project professionals and healthcare providers in Kent and Medway
The Kent Nature Partnership project, being delivered by MVCP will engage health professionals with natural environment professionals to discuss how a partnership can be established which will ensure increased prescription and support for nature based health and wellbeing projects in the future.
A workshop which brought key people together from both sectors was held on Thursday 9th July. Guest speakers delivered some interesting and informative presentations and breakout sessions during the workshop led to the discussion of various relevant topics, the learning from which will inform an action plan to be delivered through the Health and Wellbeing subgroup of the Kent Nature Partnership.
