Want to Volunteer?

The Medway Valley Countryside Partnership (MVCP) currently supports over 40 volunteers.

Many of these volunteers are River Wardens, helping to keep the river paths and adjacent villages litter free and safer for local people and wildlife. These volunteers are our eyes and ears on the ground, reporting pollution and fly-tipping and also helping us to collect vital ecological data such as that of invasive non native plants or general wildlife.

The River Warden Volunteers work ad hoc so it's great for people will little time or other commitments.

Our other volunteers are part of our award winning Thursday Action Group (TAG) who help MVCP staff to deliver important practical hands on conservation projects across Maidstone and Tonbridge and Malling. Tasks can be anything from pond creation, building woodland steps and paths, wildlife gardening, hedge laying, tree planting or seed collecting. It's varied and never dull since we work at a variety of sites across the two boroughs delivering a vast range of conservation and access work.
